"Taiwan's Four Seasons Still-Life" Series
Inspired by the traditional Chinese literati paintings of "still-life offerings," this series integrates the refined tastes and appreciation of nature typical of the literati while presenting a uniquely Taiwanese perspective on the beauty of the seasons and the essence of nature. Based on the 24 solar terms, the series highlights seasonal flowers, fruits, and animals, portraying the diverse natural scenery of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. It also conveys respect for the cyclical rhythm of the seasons. The flowers and small animals depicted carry profound symbolic meanings—chrysanthemums, for example, symbolize purity, while everyday fruits represent abundance and harvest. Birds, squirrels, and other creatures add a dynamic charm, emphasizing vitality and life.
"Goldfish and Flowers" Series
Peonies and chrysanthemums are classic motifs in Eastern aesthetics, symbolizing wealth and prosperity. This series embodies the interpretation and pursuit of nature, culture, and spiritual realms, showcasing a deep connection to traditional values and artistic aspirations.
The core themes of these three subject matters lie in expressing the harmonious beauty of nature, conveying auspicious meanings, and pursuing spiritual elevation and refinement. Deeply influenced by Eastern culture, these works also integrate the artist's emotions and cultural cultivation, imbuing each piece with profound cultural significance and aesthetic value.
